My dog has sticky eyes, what should I do?

Many smaller dogs and those with short muzzles are prone to ‘tear staining’ that can cause minor stickiness around the eyes and a brown or red colour change to the fur. This is especially visible in white poodles and bichon frises for example. We can use plain water or water mixed with a drop of rose water and cotton wool to gently clean the eyes each morning.
