‘I won £8,505 in 24 hours’

As I sat down at my computer screen, I couldn’t stop gazing at all the pictures of the Maldives – it looked so beautiful. The turquoise sea, white sandy beaches and palm trees – it really did seem like paradise. I had to pinch myself to believe that I was going to get married there! and it was all thanks to my Woman’s Own Bingo wins in June this year.
I joined the online bingo site in 2014, after a friend recommended it to me. she’d had a big win on there herself and told me it was really good fun with a very friendly community, so I didn’t hesitate in signing up.
I work as a care assistant so I usually play after a long, busy day. sometimes I even get in a game or two on my phone on the bus going home!
There are daily play games such as Tiki’s Catch of the Day and I enter all the promotional games too – there are loads of prizes up for grabs as well as the jackpots.
In June this year, I bought some tickets for sapphire Bingo – a 90 ball bingo room – and another room. I was switching between the two games, but all of a sudden, my screen wasn’t loading properly.
I was getting impatient, but when the screen eventually came back to life, I had a message greeting me saying congratulations – I was a winner!
I’d had plenty of small wins over the years I’d been a member – £20 here and £100 there, so I was expecting a win of that sort of amount. I thought I’d won the £1,000 house prize, but then I saw that my account was looking £8,505 better off!

I was playing on my phone, so I quickly took a screen shot – surely this wasn’t happening to me, was it?
I was so shocked, I ran straight upstairs to wake my fiancé and tell him.
‘Look!’ I yelled, showing him my phone as he opened his eyes. ‘Congratulations love!’ he replied.
I was so excited I don’t think I slept at all that night!
The next day, I started playing the slot game, Rainbow Riches – it’s one of my favourite games.

To my surprise, after just a few spins, I won again. This time it was a £4,000 jackpot! I couldn’t believe I had scooped £12,500 in the space of 24 hours!
once the news of my amazing wins finally sunk in, I started thinking about what to do with the money.
I was already engaged, but we hadn’t booked anything for our wedding, and dreamed of
tying the knot in the maldives. we had talked about it a lot but I never imagined our Indian ocean wedding would happen.
my fiancé and I started looking at venues where we could get hitched and soon booked the big day for 2018.
There was plenty of money left over, so we decided to pay off the remaining leasehold of our house.
It was something we’d planned to do at some point in our lives, so it was amazing to be able to do it so much sooner than we had expected. now we own the house and the land, which is great for our future!
I have also put some money into my savings account to treat the family at Christmas and on other occasions coming up.
I couldn’t believe that I still had some spare money and did the only thing left to do… go shopping! I bought myself a some lovely new clothes and shoes, as anybody would!
I still can’t believe that I won those two huge jackpots in such a short space of time, I’ve managed to do so much with the money already and we still have our dream wedding to look forward to in 2018.
I never dreamed I would hit the jackpot when I joined Woman’s Own Bingo back in 2014. I just played for fun, winning would have been an extra bonus.
