Star Coleen Nolan has admitted that she’s going through a ‘midlife crisis’ as a shocking new habit takes over her life.
The Loose Woman has even confessed that it’s got so bad, it’s left her family questioning her behaviour and reached a point where she felt ‘embarrassed’ in front of fans in a supermarket!
Discussing this new phase of her life with her Loose pals, Coleen admitted, ‘You know what? I have been spending a lot recently. I think I’m having a bit of a midlife crisis. Honestly, I’m spending money like I’m Kim Kardashian but I haven’t got her money! I’ve got her bum, but I ain’t got her money.’

Explaining what it is she’s spending the money on, Coleen, 52, added, ‘It’s all on the house. I just decided that I fell in love with the house and I thought, ‘I’ll just have that room decorated.’
‘The decorator did that room and I’ve gone, ‘Hmmm, can you do that room too?’ And of course, the decorator is [rubs her hands together].’
The problem has even left her kids, Shane Jr, 28, Rixton star Jake, 24, and daughter Ciara, 15, concerned too. ‘My kids are like, ‘What is going on?’ because the whole house has been redecorated. But I just think, ‘I like this feeling. I’m not a shopper for clothes and I hate food shopping – so the kids aren’t eating and they aren’t dressed, but the house looks lovely!’
However, there’s been a downside to Coleen’s overspending. The star, who’s married to musician Ray Fensome, revealed that it can have implications when she’s out shopping!
Awkward outing
‘I’ve never let myself have an overdraft facility, because I know that I’ll always be in the overdraft,’ she said. ‘But it’s very embarrassing. I mean, recently I was signing autographs in the queue at the supermarket and people were saying, ‘Ooh love you on Loose Women,’ and ‘Well done for winning Celebrity Big Brother,’ and then I gave the woman my card for all my food and she went, ‘Manager to aisle seven.’ The card was declined!’
