Fans beg Richard: ‘Please stay!’
The presenter proves hugely popular on GMB
TV host Richard Madeley has proved so popular with Good Morning Britain viewers that many of them have been begging him to stay!
The former This Morning presenter filled in for Piers Morgan on the morning breakfast show over the summer break, and viewers couldn’t get enough.
‘Please be a permanent fixture on GMB, you have been a breath of fresh air compared to Piers Morgan,’ pleaded one viewer. ‘Hi ITV, can you please give Richard the gig full-time on GMB? Thanks!’ another asked.
Fans even asked if Richard, 61, would return with his wife and former co-host Judy Finnigan, 69, on a permanent basis. ‘Please, please stay on! It’s become a much better show and ask Judy to join you. Please, please,’ begged a fan of the couple.
Richard was praised for his energetic interview style, witty banter and funny one-liners, with many comparing him to comedy character Alan Partridge.
So will he be returning to our morning TV? Time will tell.
