I’m awful at buying nice presents

QI find Christmas shopping incredibly stressful. I’m OK buying something special for my sisters but I never know what to buy my boyfriend or his dad. I end up panic buying useless gifts then feel embarrassed when I receive their lovely presents to me. Help! Sam, 38, Hastings

AIf you’re rubbish at buying gifts (and lots of people are), buy something they’d buy themselves. It doesn’t have to be ‘special’ to work it’s magic. so, if they love cycling then buy a subscription for a cycling magazine. Football crazy? how about a stadium tour? tv mad? Box sets. think simply and you’ll get there.
