The REAL reason she’s going back to the square

It’s been almost 20 years since Tamzin first appeared on our screen as Mel Owen in BBC1 soap Eastenders back in 1998. Her four-year stint on the show – which saw her become a household name – ended when her character Mel got caught up in a drug scandal but escaped prison for a new life in Portugal. Tamzin said: ‘When I was asked to go back to Eastenders, I asked my eldest daughter what I should do and she said, “Can you get home every night?” I replied that I could, so she said, “Well, do it.” That clinched it.’
