Woman's Own

Our columnist Dawn Neesom has her say

I’ve had it with the whinger Harry, formally known as Prince. And you know what the final straw was? A man who once dressed up in Nazi uniform apologising on behalf because haven’t done anything about racism.

Seriously, if anyone is a walking definition of white privilege, it’s this numpty. The Black Lives Matter campaign prompted the duke’s sudden fit of conscience but while of course we all agree racism is abhorrent and needs to be tackled everywhere around the world – including here – we’re quite capable of thinking and acting on our own behalf. What we don’t need is the Prince of Woke implying we’re such a bigoted, hateful bunch that he felt compelled to say sorry.

And who on earth is advising Meghan? According to the court papers she has lodged, her wedding made the UK a billion dollars and the Royal Family failed to protect her, presumably from us hateful Brits. Ungrateful muppets the pair of them. We wanted to love Meghan, a breath of fresh air. Our money made the wedding possible and the Queen really seemed to go out of her way to welcome her to the family.

Biting the hand that feeds you – whether it’s your in-laws or the taxpayers who fund your lavish lifestyle – is never a good idea. Harry and Meghan’s descent from exciting young royals to this was breathtaking in speed and levels.

Has Harry totally lost whatever plot he had? I sincerely hope he will be able to settle and be very happy in California because I fear there’s no way the great British public will ever forgive his recent behaviour. Still, what did we really expect from someone who was photographed stark naked partying with a bunch of strippers in a Las Vegas hotel room? A five-star one that was likely paid for by… oh yes, that’ll be the folk he quite clearly now loathes. Us.
