How do you take your tea?

White with one sugar. I’ve been trying to cut back.

Who would you most like your cup of tea with?

The people I usually have it with – family, Richard and my girlfriends. There’s no one else I’d rather spend time with.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’ve teamed up with DenTek – makers of oral health products (dentekuk.co.uk) – for their #TeethTalk campaign to raise awareness of the importance of good family oral health. It’s so important to teach your kids to look after their teeth from an early age.

Have you ever been properly star-struck?

Susan Sarandon was at an event I was at recently. She is so cool and smart, and looks like she doesn’t suffer fools gladly. I was too shy to go up and say hello, though!

Do you have hobbies?

I enjoy cooking and I’m currently into puzzles, although I do get halfway through and think, ‘This is a pointless exercise.’

Do you worry about getting old?

Absolutely not! Getting older is a privilege and should be embraced. I have more confidence now than 10 years ago and am in a better place to make good choices.

How do you keep fit?

I go to the gym two or three times a week. I also make sure I do something active every day, whether it’s going for a walk or playing with the kids on the trampoline.

What’s your daily beauty routine?

One big wet wipe at the end of the day. Moisturiser when I think my skin is looking dry and lots of sun cream.

What next?

I’ve just released my sixth album – Familia – and I’m playing at a lot of music festivals. I love Glastonbury. Richard and I stay there for a couple of nights in a teepee.
