The washing machine. I remember carrying buckets of water for my mum to heat up. She ordered a washing machine out of the paper and didn’t tell my dad till it arrived – a single tub with a wringer on the top.

The hand-held hoover. I pick mine up several times a day! It’s great for cleaning up after my children and pets. Oh and the wet wipe, whoever invented them needs a gold medal!!
