This chevron design with cutout neckline is created by decreasing stitches in the centre and increasing on the sides, at the same time as working a fisherman’s-rib pattern. A sure way to earn your stripes!

With 4mm needles and Drizzle, cast on 107 (117) (127) (137) (147) sts. 1st rib row: K1, [p1, k1] to end. 2nd rib row: P1, [k1, p1] to end. Rib another 12 rows. Change to 5mm needles. 1st row: K1, [p1, k1] to end. 2nd row: P to end.

These 2 rows form pattern. Pattern another 97 (99) (99) (101) (101) rows. Shape armholes: Next row: Cast off 8 sts, k to last 8 sts, cast off last 8 sts. Break off Drizzle. Join in Wisteria. Dec 1 st at each end of next row and 2 (3)(3) (4) (4) following alternate rows – 85 (93) (103) (111) (121) sts. Pattern 45 (45) (47) (49) (53) rows. Shape shoulders: Cast off 14 (15) (17) (19) (21) sts at beginning of next 2 rows and 13 (15) (17) (18) (20) sts at beginning of following 2 rows – 31 (33) (35) (37) (39) sts. Leave these sts on a st holder.

Front

Sleeves (both alike)

With 4mm needles and Drizzle, cast on 49 (51) (53) (57) (59) sts. Work 14 rows in rib as on back. Change to 5mm needle. 1st row: K1, [p1, k1] to end. 2nd row: K to end. These 2 rows form pattern. Working extra sts into pattern as they occur, inc 1 st at each end of next row and 12 (12) (13) (13) (14) following 6th rows – 75 (77) (81) (85) (89) sts. Continue straight until sleeve measures 45cm from beginning, ending with a right side row. Shape top: Next row: Cast off 4 sts, k to last 4 sts, cast off last 4 sts. Break off Drizzle. Join in Wisteria. Dec 1 st at each end of next row and 1 (2)(2) (3) (3) following alternate rows - 63 (63) (67) (69) (73) sts. K 1 row. To make up

Join left shoulder and neckband seam. Set in sleeves. Join side and sleeve seams.
