We’re really starting to see a rise in women focusing on shaping up their behinds in a bid to boast the same tight and toned tushes as celebs like Rihanna and J-LO.

The Hourglass Workout looks to embrace these goals by honing in on glute exercises that truly work. It’s not as simple as a 30-day squat challenge, but it does produce results.

For those of us who spend a lot of time being sedentary, our glute muscles switch off, making it harder for us to engage them when we’re in the gym. That’s why this workout starts with a glute activation series to really fire up the glutes before moving on to the tougher stuff.

Lucie Clegg, trainer at Duo Chelsea which runs The Hourglass Workout, devised the following sequence for WF readers to try themselves. Make sure you start with a full-body dynamic warm-up including jumping jacks and high knees before moving on to the activation exercises and finally the full-body supersets.
