DAILY DOSE SMOOTHIE

This vitamin-packed smoothie is a great way to get your daily dose before you even walk out the door. It includes plenty of highenergy foods, rich in antioxidan­ts and protein. Raw eggs are extremely healthful, but it is important to use eggs from a sanitary source: that means choosing free-range, organic eggs from pastured chickens whenever possible to avoid unwanted bacteria. The yolk of the egg has the most vitamins, minerals and good fats.

Ingredient­s (makes 600ml)

● 2 lightly soft-boiled free range eggs (boiled for about a minute)

● 120g greens (spinach, beetroot greens, Swiss chard or kale), chopped and lightly steamed

● 225g frozen berries of your choice

● Flesh of ½ avocado

● 120ml milk of your choice (whole cow’s milk, almond milk or rice milk)

● 16 ice cubes

1 Combine all of the ingredient­s in a blender and blitz for approximat­ely two minutes, until smooth, but still thick. Serve immediatel­y.
