problem! This workout can be done inless than 20 minutes to get you fitter, stronger and healthier

During an ideal gym workout, we’d have all the time in the world to use whatever equipment we like for as long as we like. We’d take our time with warming up, cooling down and having a good old foam roll and stretch. We’d maybe even have some time when we’re done to have a sauna session before a long, hot shower. But a new survey found that not only is this out of reach for most of us, almost half of us actually feel that we don’t even have time for the workout itself. The research reveals that a staggering 46 per cent of UK workers feel they are too busy to fit exercise into their hectic daily schedules. While work, family and our social life certainly are important, our health and fitness shouldn’t have to suffer due to time constraints either. We reckon there’s time for it all.

The good news is that not only does a supershort workout mean you can finally make fitness a regular part of your life, but it can actually be far more efficient in terms of results – if we work hard. The payoff for opting for a shorter workout means that we have to make it more intense if it’s to count. This HIIT workout will take you less than 20 minutes and works your whole body. The anaerobic style of exercise creates an afterburn effect, which means that although you’ve only spent 20 minutes getting your sweat on, the effects last much longer thanks to the huge boost in metabolic rate. The workout also focuses on those big, compound movements, so you’ll be upping your lean muscle mass, in turn burning fat.

Fat burn, an increase in strength and fitness and a faster metabolism – all in less time? Work out smarter to make it happen.
