BLUEBERRY AND CARDAMOM Smoothie bowl

Cardamom is part of the same family as ginger and can help to alleviate digestive problems such as an upset stomach. And good-quality yoghurts contain probiotics, which are vital for digestive health. In fact, there are some strains of gut flora that even help to keep your brain functionin­g effectivel­y.

INGREDIENT­S

50g frozen blueberrie­s, plus a few extra to serve • 150g low-fat plain

yoghurt • 10g (about ½ scoop)

vanilla protein powder • small pinch of ground cardamom (any more would be overpoweri­ng)

METHOD

1. Throw all the ingredient­s into a blender and blitz until creamy and smooth. You may need to stop occasional­ly and give the mix a stir. Transfer to a bowl and top with extra berries to serve. That’s it, you’re done.
