BLUEBERRY AND CARDAMOM Smoothie bowl
Cardamom is part of the same family as ginger and can help to alleviate digestive problems such as an upset stomach. And good-quality yoghurts contain probiotics, which are vital for digestive health. In fact, there are some strains of gut flora that even help to keep your brain functioning effectively.
INGREDIENTS
50g frozen blueberries, plus a few extra to serve • 150g low-fat plain
yoghurt • 10g (about ½ scoop)
vanilla protein powder • small pinch of ground cardamom (any more would be overpowering)
METHOD
1. Throw all the ingredients into a blender and blitz until creamy and smooth. You may need to stop occasionally and give the mix a stir. Transfer to a bowl and top with extra berries to serve. That’s it, you’re done.
