Fran Halsall is a European champion, Commonwealth gold and world silver medallist. She holds the British records for 50m and 100m freestyle and 50m and 100m butterfly. This year, she announced her retirement from swimming after a decade-long career in the pool. She’s daunted but excited to take on her first challenge on dry land.
