A slow and steady approach to training is keeping Pennie on track. ‘I’m running for my dad who has Alzheimer’s disease. He used to take me to Taekwondo when I was younger and would have been really impressed to see me run now. The support of my run club at Goodgym, and mental strength built up over years of martial arts, will hopefully help get me across the finish line.’
