NOURISH

I like to mix it up, but breakfast is usually eggs on toast with a side of berries. My Barbadian roots are very important to me and I love the island’s cuisine, so lunch is often spicy seasoned chicken with salad and dinner is fresh fish with rice. I like to eat healthily and I do – but at the same time I don’t deprive myself; if I want a cheeseburger, I’ll have one.

CELEBR ATE

I believe that everyone needs to love their bodies and themselves – that’s why Fenty is for women of all shapes and sizes. Love yourself and no one’s going to steal your happiness. It stops you focusing on particular body parts and helps you believe that no one else can be in charge of your happiness.

TRAIN

My exercise schedule varies depending on whether I’m filming or touring, but I like to work out a minimum of three times a week, wherever I am in the world and whatever I’m doing. I’ll run 5k and do a 30-minute Pilates session three to five times a week. And I’ll tag a strength session on to the end, doing a mixture of squats, dumbbell lunges and reverse crunches – about 25 reps each.

SOOTHE

I’m someone who likes to feel in control and last year was tough in that, like so many of us, I felt like that wasn’t the case. That’s why it’s so important to be kind to yourself. A pamper evening, a chilled night where you order in your favourite food – whatever makes you feel good. For me, that’s a movie night and ice cream.

PAUSE

This past year, for the first time in as long as I can remember, I haven’t been travelling, and it’s given me a chance to focus on music and other projects and really get creative. I’ve enjoyed doing the little things I wouldn’t normally have time to do, like cooking, going for a walk and riding my bike. It’s been humbling, too.

[The pandemic] has affected so many people in horrendous ways – it’s reminded me that it’s important to appreciate the little things in life.

PROTECT

I use Fenty Skin

Hydra Vizor every morning, which is a two-in-one sunscreen and moisturiser. I grew up on an island where I was exposed to the sun every day and I learned the hard way that those rays aren’t kind to skin. Honestly, guys: protect yourselves.

ESCAPE

I am so blessed to be able to say I love what I do. Making music, performing on stage, shooting films – it’s amazing. But because I have such a busy schedule, I like to totally switch off when I have downtime, and there’s no better place to do so than in Barbados. The views, the ocean, the food, the people – it’s just perfect.

CHILL

I’ve never made a secret of my love for reality TV and, during lockdown, I’ve been rewatching Vanderpump Rules

– I honestly can’t get enough of it. When watching reality TV, I can lie on my couch and switch my mind off from everything that’s going on. It’s my thing – and it’s pure escapism.
