ERIN LONGIN

Global director of running and training at Puma

-

I began my career in buying for a department store chain, before joining Timberland and then Puma, where I’ve been for the past 12 years, working in different areas across sport performance and lifestyle. I’ve always been invested in wellbeing and health – as my side hustle, I was a fitness instructor throughout and after college. I now oversee the global strategy and product lines for Puma’s running, training and studio categories. I love working with designers and product managers who constantly raise the bar, bringing a positive, creative energy and inspiring me every day. Our shared ethos helps us create ground-breaking products and innovations. Puma combines the key elements of sport and fashion, with an entrepreneurial spirit that aligns with my approach.

Sizing up

This past year we took the first step towards creating a more inclusive product assortment, introducing a new size range for our women’s items, including sports bras. And we’re only getting started. We introduced sizes 0 to 20 in six of our top styles, including our Align Pant 7/8, Wunder Train 7/8, Fast And Free 7/8, Ready To Rulu Pant, Long Distance Short Sleeve and the Define Jacket. We’re working towards having most of our women’s product available online in sizes 0 to 20 by the end of 2021, as well as evolving our sports bra assortment to support up to size 40G within the next 10 months, too.

Mylo vegan leather

Our goal is to create products that reflect the values of our customers and our aspirations for a healthier world. We recently shared our Impact Agenda, highlighting a number of our commitments to the planet, including our goal of using 100% sustainable materials across our products by 2030 and offering customers new options to extend the life of products they love. We’re excited to introduce Mylo, a vegan leather alternative, into our 2021 product line and launch a new collection featuring natural dyes for Earth Day in April. We’re also piloting a take-backand-resell project in select regions and plan to scale this globally.

Speed Swift

While Covid has led to the cancellation of major races and running events around the world, many people have taken up running to support their physical and mental health. We believe this is a trend that’s here to stay. We’re continuing to innovate our running items, taking our much-loved Speed Swift Bra and developing it to become part of a larger launch that will include new bottoms and tech.
