Kranjcar has alternated between 4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3, and even tried a three-man defence. They have creativity and goals in midfield, but for all their individual class there is no collective pattern. Defensively they can be sluggish and they lack a top midfield holder. The loss of keeper Eduardo to Chelsea could hit them hard.
