Nick Ward

Nick Ward was born in Hamble and was taught to sail at the age of four. He has retained his love of sailing, working in the marine trade for most of his career and delivering and racing yachts of all kinds. Nick lives in Hamble with his wife Christine and two children.

Left for Dead is Nick's account of survival during the 1979 Fastnet Race, in which 15 sailors died, two on board Grimalkin.
