Gen­eral: Safe ma­rina with 341 berths, but may oc­ca­sion­ally get some surge in­side if there is a (rare) large southerly swell. There are plans to ex­tend the hard stand­ing.

Ap­proach: VHF Ch9. Keep at least half a mile from the coast be­fore en­ter­ing Taza­corte. You can an­chor just out­side the har­bour but be­ware of the rocks near the shore. Larger yachts can ar­range to dock in the outer har­bour. The wall is some­times used by cruise ships, so call be­fore­hand by tele­phone or VHF Ch09 to make ar­range­ments.

Fa­cil­i­ties: Toi­lets/show­ers/laun­dry. Fuel: Times may change dur­ing the sea­sons, but al­ways avail­able in the morn­ings. Ask at the of­fice.

Travel-lift 50T: Con­tact the ma­rina of­fice. Easy to use for vis­i­tors. Elec­tric­ity/wa­ter: Blue 3-pin Eurosocket. 20mm in­side wa­ter con­nec­tion. Se­cu­rity: 24/7. Pon­toons are locked. In­ter­net: Pay for use wi-fi. Cheap, but the con­nec­tion is not al­ways good.

Food & drink: Café in ma­rina or walk to nearby vil­lage.

To do: Take a skinny dip at the nud­ist beach be­hind the har­bour wall, or keep your clothes on for the nice walk to the nearby town. Don’t miss The sun­set from the high ma­rina wall or the beach.
