Sailing clubs pull together at times of crisis
Last year’s near-collapse of the Toddbrook reservoir dam in Whaley Bridge and consequent loss of water for the sailing club has led to a collaboration between Toddbrook and Combs Sailing clubs.
Toddbrook’s RYA Dinghy Instructors have offered to help Combs SC in High Peak, Derbyshire with their 2020 training programme and to assist the club in gaining RYA Recognised Training Centre status.
The alliance enables Toddbrook’s team to maintain RYA Instructor status and Combs SC to offer members a recognised qualification, while reservoir repair plans progress.
