Yorkshire prices fell in January
NEW FIGURES: The latest data from the Land Registry shows that annual house prices rose by an average of 6.2 per cent in England and Wales, which takes the average property value in the UK to £218,255. Monthly prices rose by 0.8 per cent between December 2016 and January 2017. Yorkshire saw the most significant monthly price fall with a movement of -2.6 per cent but annual prices grew 2.7 per cent between January 2016 and January 2017. The East of England had the biggest anunual increase over the 12 months with a rise of 9.4 per cent. London saw the greatest monthly price growth with an increase of three per cent.
