Heading to the coast which has the most

-

We focus on Bridlington this week and our report shows that the town is attracting a different kind of buyer.

While it has sat quietly in the shadow of Whitby, Filey and Scarborough, beautiful “Brid” is luring more people who now plan to work from home, along with those who are looking for holiday lets and second homes.

Those who live and regularly holiday in Bridlington have always been nonchalant about its perceived status. They couldn’t care less that its neighbours are seen as more fashionable because know of the town’s many charms, chief of which are its beautiful beaches, exceptional sea views, cliff-top walks and its historic old town.

Another big draw is value for money. House prices are relatively low and you get a lot of bang for your buck in Brid and its surrounding villages.

If you have a big budget and are looking for a coastal home, we showcase a rare opportunity to buy one of Scarborough’s finest historic homes, which is now in pristine condition.

Grade II listed Wesley House, on the market for £575,000, is a short stroll from the harbour and sits below the castle. It is packed with period features and has been sensitively restored by owners who have loved and cared for it.

It also has additional living space with a converted barn, which comprises of a working space, WC and a workshop/ storage space. There’s also a car port but the owners rarely bother to drive as everything is in walking distance.
