James Brindley offers a world of inspiration

-

WHEN you enter a James Brindley showroom, you step into a world full of inspiration to realise the design ambitions you have for your home.

Aided by its fantastic team of friendly, knowledgeable and experienced designers, no creative stone is left unturned. When you visit its stores in Harrogate and Wetherby, you will be matched with the best designer possible to work with and enhance your ideas. For instance, at the Harrogate store, Rebecca has a architectural background and is ideal for full interior schemes, including kitchens and bathrooms; for those who love James Brindley’s unique style Alice, who holds a fine art degree, developed her design skills in house; and what Christine doesn’t know about curtain making and soft furnishings isn’t worth knowing.

They are joined by two new designers who add to the team’s diverse skills; Danielle brings with her eight years of experience, and Nicola, who trained as an interior architect, has a keen visual eye.

From traditional schemes to the contemporary, they can take you through James Brindley’s fabric and wallpaper library, one of the largest in the UK and which features popular fabric brands such as Colefax and Fowler, Zoffany and Harlequin, as well as contemporary styles from the likes of Jessica Zoob, along with aspirational designs from Cole and Son and GP & J Baker. From there, they can help you match this to a range of furniture, including their own range of beautiful, Yorkshire-made solid wood designs and Lloyd Loom by James Brindley pieces, upholstery, soft furnishings and accessories.

Would you want to go anywhere else? Well, for one day you may.

The team at James Brindley has joined forces with Colefax and Fowler to present the design house’s latest collection at The Devonshire Arms’ charity Dine and Design event on August 17. Here, guests can find out how an interior designer can work with you to help you achieve your dream home.

The new Colefax and Fowler collections sees an array of expressive designs, with ranges including a jewelled-toned palette of muted blue, rich red and intense onyx, teal and charcoal, complemented by exotically-hued florals and arabesques; and paisley designs on softly printed velvets and wools, as well as richly coloured embroideries and subtle ombred damasks in gold and rose colour ways.

They will be presented by Rachel Jouan, with James Brindley’s talented designers, Christine and Rebecca, offering advice and inspiration. Looking at what you can expect, Christine said: “The aim is to allow guests to fully appreciate one of the fabrics suppliers that we are privileged at James Brindley to work with. On this occasion there will be the opportunity to share what Colefax and Fowler as a fabric house stand for and offer. This will be supported by examples of stunning display lengths of fabrics from the collections, combined with the inspiration and skills of the
