FROM unique homewares to creative workshops, My Vibrant Home has been a source of inspiration for people looking to introduce something different to their interiors.
Now, as well as visiting the delightful store in the Grand Arcade in Leeds, you can see My Vibrant Home’s range at its new store in Saltaire.
As well as being a stockist of the popular Chalk Paint™, a decorative paint by Annie Sloan, making it a fantastic place for people to discuss their projects, the two stores are overflowing with carefully selected, beautiful products from UK producers. These include throws from a family woollen mill in Donegal, lamps with hand-turned bases by a Yorkshire carpenter, cushions by a local seamstress and lampshades handmade by Kim Bunton, the owner, lighting from a Birmingham company and Newgate Clocks from Shropshire. These join painted furniture, Annie Sloan fabrics, upholstered pieces and many more original, unusual handcrafted homewares. These are unique, as My Vibrant Home is the only stockist in the area for them.
“The ethos behind My Vibrant Home is to be different, unusual and colourful; I love sourcing different items that you can’t get on the high street, ” explained Kim, who opened the store in 2013. “All of them are small UK producers, just like me. Those people are passionate about what they are doing.”
Painting workshops take place at both stores to show the different effects you can achieve with the decorative chalk paint. Further workshops will be hosted at the Saltaire store, including lampshade making and block printing. More details will soon be on www.my-vibranthome.co.uk.
Commissioned work, pairing customers’ furniture is also undertaken by the team at My Vibrant Home.
