Dear Stylist,

The most miserable month of the year! Christmas is now a distant memory, the weather is cold and my skin is reflecting my misery. My face is grey and pallid, and I need something to kick-start my beauty routine. What products can you suggest?

January can be a harsh month for the skin. Weeks of unhealthy eating combined with the cold and wind can make you want to sob when you look at your reflection in the mirror. Give your skin a bit of tender loving care by drinking lots of water, eating healthily and trying some of these excellent products.

The Chantecaille counter is new to the store and as well as having a fantastic make-up line they also have a great range of skincare. A lot of people embark on a detox time of the year, what about a detox for the skin? The Chantecaille detox clay mask contains honey and rosemary to nourish and purify.

ESPA have formulated a very impressive moisturiser in their Regenerating Moisture Complex. It contains some of nature’s most powerful most powerful agedefying extracts and macadamia oil to rehydrate skin. ESPA is known for its luxury spas so it smells wonderful.

A serum is a key step before moisturiser and the Hydra beauty micro-serum from Chanel hydrates and plumps skin, infusing it with moisture. It gives you the all-important glow and ensures make-up doesn’t cling on to any dry areas of the skin. For skin that is seriously dehydrated, this may be the holy grail of serums!
