The quality options for satisfying sleep

-

High quality products from some of the most prestigious names in British bed manufacturing feature prominently at the SASO Bed Superstore in Castleford.

One of Yorkshire’s biggest and best bed showrooms, this independent business prides itself on offering customers an unrivalled choice of top class and innovative products to ensure a satisfying night’s sleep.

Bed manufacture is an area where British companies still lead the way in creating the very best beds and mattresses – and the SASO showroom is home to a number of the leading names in this field.

Second-to-none among them is Leeds-based Harrison Spinks, a fifth-generation family business which has been a byword for quality since 1840.

The company is so committed to sourcing the very best materials for its mattresses that it has its own farm, Hornington Manor, near Tadcaster, where a flock of 600 sheep and 150 acres planted with flax and hemp provide a substantial proportion of their contents.

If this represents a very traditional aspect of Harrison Spinks’ approach, the company is also committed to product development and innovation, including its world-leading micro pocket spring technology, which adapts to the shape of your body as you sleep.

Harrison Spinks beds are currently on offer from SASO at 40 per cent off RRP.

Another leading name is Hypnos, based in Princes Risborough and, like Harrison Spinks, a fifth generation family business. It has held a Royal Warrant since 1929 and all its production staff are members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

Equally long-established skills and attention to detail are applied to the manufacture of Millbrook hand-made pocketsprung mattresses, using thick wool from Hampshire Downs sheep which graze just 15 miles from the Southampton factory.

For more than 150 years, Somerset-based Relyon has claimed to make the best beds in the world – and there is a good choice of its products at SASO.

As well as these prestigious brands, SASO also stocks its own market-leading Memflex hybrid range of mattresses. A clever combination of pocket springs, memory foam and cool gel technology, they ensure optimum temperature and comfort for sound sleep, whatever the weather and time of year.

Dunlopillo, one of the best known bedding brands, is the authority and leading manufacturer of latex mattresses, delivering longlasting performance by holding their shape and remaining durable for years to come, while Actipro technology provides natural protection against allergens, dust mites and odours.

Another good seller is the Spineguard 2000 mattress, which has an unrivalled reputation for providing back support and comfort.

SASO also stocks a small but carefully-selected range of quality sofas to complement the beds and mattresses plus a large selection of sliding wardrobes.

Store opening times are 9am– 5pm Mondays to Saturdays and 11am–3pm on Sundays. Free car parking right outside the door.
