This cult American sitcom appeared in 2009 and proved so popular that it ran for six years and six series.
Set in a community college in the fictional town of Greendale, Colorado it follows a disparate group of students who are thrown together in a study group that was created specifically by one student – dodgy lawyer Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) solely for the purpose of impressing another in the group, feisty Britta Perry (Gillian Jacobs). The first season opens with Winger enrolling at the college after having been suspended by the state bar for falsely claiming to have a law degree. He is arrogant, manipulative, cynical and perfectly willing to use people for his own ends. Needless to say, there is a Scroogelike redemption on the horizon for Jeff as he gets to know the motley gang that consists of nerdy film student Abed (Danny Pudi), divorced mother Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown), overachiever
Annie (Alison Brie), cool football player Troy (Donald Glover) and needy mature student Pierce (Chevy Chase). Superb ensemble playing and lots of laughs.
