The Handmade Kitchen Company is now back up and running and has found that many people took the opportunity to evaluate their kitchens and the way they use them during lockdown.
For many people it has rekindled a love of cooking and has created a desire for a more open-plan, practical and sociable space in which to cook and to congregate with friends and family: the kitchen is now truly the heart of the home.
“Over the past few years we have increasingly seen a movement towards larger more open plan kitchens,” says owner and designer Deborah Yoxall.
“So, if you have spent your lockdown time contemplating ways to improve or alter your kitchen it might be time to consider calling in an expert.”
The Handmade Kitchen Company offers a free design service from a designer with more than 30 years’ experience.
It is a small, friendly, family-run business which prides itself on its expertise, design capabilities, and attention to detail.
“We offer a fully managed project from start to finish,” says Deborah. “Starting with a design based on your lifestyle and how you use your kitchen, we will provide a space that will be both practical and beautiful.
“We are proud that our kitchens are made in Yorkshire, are genuinely individual and can be made to any specification.”
