Time for design

-

Making time to talk to customers is the key factor for Inhouse Kitchen Designs.

Although it has been a developing trend for several years, the events of 2020 have served to accelerate changes in the way we see and use our kitchens.

Once simply a space for cooking, the kitchen has now become the heart of many a home: somewhere to dine, to socialise and, increasingly this year, to work.

This point is not lost on Inhouse Kitchen Designs, a family-run company with a recently-opened showroom in Brighouse, operated in partnership with longestablished supplier Masterclass Kitchens.

Consequently, when discussing customers’ plans for a new kitchen, Inhouse Kitchen Designs owner Steve Godden believes it is important to take time to gain a thorough understanding of what they and their family want from this most important of rooms and how it can best fit in with their lifestyle.

He says: “How long this process takes doesn’t matter to me, the crucial thing is that we get it right. The design of a kitchen is all-important, so we welcome customers into the showroom in order to see and feel the quality of materials and accessories and discuss how these can be used to achieve their aims.”

Steve and his team believe the means of achieving the perfect kitchen can be broken down into four steps: discovery, survey, design and installation.

Discovery seeks out the customer’s initial aspirations for their kitchen, by means of completing a simple form, in order to guide the subsequent process.

The Survey stage comprises a home visit to ensure everything fits into, and makes best use of, the available space.

Design takes the information from the two preceding stages and creates a 3D virtual model of the kitchen for customer comment and approval before the manufacturing process begins.

Finally, Installation sees a team of professional, experienced tradesmen bring everything together, the dream into reality.

“Choice is at the heart of every kitchen we design,” says Steve. “Choose a modern, shaker, classic or handleless style, then refine this from a selection of more than 40 colours, 270 doors and 16,000 possible cabinet configurations.

“There is no pressure to settle on your final design at the first time of asking; we are more than happy to look at different options, refine the layout and discuss how things might be changed. We are happy to take as long as is necessary to get it right.”

A new kitchen is a major investment but, if you choose to make it now, then Inhouse Kitchen Designs is offering some substantial discounts.

The January sale offers up to 20 per cent off, including appliances, while customers placing an order for a kitchen to be fitted up until the end of April 2021 will receive an additional £500 off the total cost.
