Record numbers head to culture city

Hull Trains has reported record passenger numbers for the first two months of 2017 – suggesting the City of Culture is having a significant impact. The train operator has seen a 17 per cent increase in all long-distance journeys in January, and expects February figures to be similar. It is well above the industry average of 4.3 per cent growth for the same period.
