Anti-slavery MP recreated in 3D

The 210th anniversary of the passing of the Slave Trade Act is being marked today by the unveiling of a “virtual Wilberforce.” Experts from the University of Hull and The Glasgow School of Art used the same 3D wizardry in Hollywood blockbusters to recreate the MP.

Tonight will see the switch on of lighting for the Wilberforce Monument, part of Nayan Kulkarni’s Sculptures in the Sky project for City of Culture 2017.
