Appointment of chef ‘not tokenism’

Chef Andi Oliver has insisted her appointment on Great British Menu is not tokenism.

Oliver, 53, a black woman, will step into Prue Leith’s judging shoes when the BBC Two cooking programme returns on May 2. She told Radio Times: “I’m passionate about my subject, so I don’t think it is tokenism.”
