CRIME: A woman who arranged for a teenage girl to have sex with dozens of men has been given a three-year prison sentence to add to the 12 years which she is already serving for child prostitution offences.

She and four men were all convicted of offences relating to the exploitation of vulnerable children.

A WOMAN who arranged for a teenage girl to have sex with dozens of different men has been given a three-year prison sentence to add to the 12 years which she is already serving for child prostitution offences.

Amanda Spencer, 26, was jailed at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday along with four men.

They were all convicted of offences relating to the exploitation of children so vulnerable that a judge said: “I have never in my professional life witnessed such broken humanity.”

Last month, Sheffield Crown Court heard how Spencer befriended the girl when she was about 15 years old, buying her clothes, doing her hair and offering her somewhere to stay.

But Spencer began taking her to men’s homes for sex in return for cash after plying her with alcohol and using violence against her.

A jury heard how the defendant prostituted the teenager to 50 men over a four-month period. Only one of these was ever traced – Taleb Bapir – who was found guilty of one rape and jailed on Friday for 10 years.

In a victim personal statement read to the court, the woman described being the “new piece of meat on the block being passed around from man to man in whatever way they wanted”.

Judge Peter Kelson QC told Spencer: “Your sexual exploitation of (the girl) was breathtaking.”

He said: “I have no doubt that you cynically and skilfully groomed (the girl), taking her into your trust with false friendship until you had attained complete control over her.”

The judge concluded: “You forced her to be raped some 50 times by strangers so you could make money.”

Spencer was jailed for 12 years in 2014 for almost identical offences, also in Sheffield.

Her barrister, Dermot Hughes, argued that if all these cases had all been tried together her overall sentence would not be any more than the original 12 years. But Judge Kelson disagreed, ordering her to serve a further three years.

Spencer was sentenced alongside brothers Christopher, Matthew and Shane Whiteley as well as Bapir.

The defendants were charged with a range of offences relating to nine women from when they were teenage girls, covering the period 2006 to 2012.

Judge Kelson told them all: “You succumbed to your greed for sexual satisfaction and financial gain.”

Some of the defendants were teenagers themselves at the time, but the judge said they all exploited extremely vulnerable girls.

He added: “I have never in my professional life witnessed such broken humanity.”

One victim told the trial how the Whiteley brothers charged “customers” £50 a time for her on 30 to 40 occasions.

Spencer, formerly of Canklow Road, Rotherham, was found guilty of four counts of arranging child prostitution in relation to one of the girls and jailed yesterday for three years.

Christopher Whiteley, 24, of Weakland Crescent, Hackenthorpe, Sheffield, was found guilty of raping two victims, conspiracy to cause or incite child prostitution in relation to another as well as sexually assaulting a fourth. He was jailed for 15 years.

Shane Whiteley, 30, and Matthew Whiteley, 25, both of Weakland Crescent, Hackenthorpe, Sheffield, were found guilty of conspiracy to cause or incite child prostitution. Shane Whiteley was jailed for eight years and Matthew Whiteley was jailed for seven years. Bapir, 39, of Verdon Street, Sheffield, was found guilty of rape and jailed for 10 years.

Your sexual exploitation of the girl was breathtaking. Judge Peter Kelson QC.
