£3bn bill for changes to M25 for runway

The cost of transforming the M25 to build a third runway at Heathrow could derail the airport’s expansion due to excessive costs, British Airways’ parent company has warned.

IAG estimates that building the runway across the existing path of the M25 will cost £2-3bn on top of the west London hub’s “inflated £17bn bill” for the additional runway.
