Crime tsar visits college youth project
COMMUNITY COHESION was the focus when West Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner visited Bradford College.
Mark Burns-Williamson spoke with staff at Student Base, a youth work project, during his visit.
Nick Koral, the Head of the School for Childhood and Youth, Early Years, Health and Care, Social and Community, said: “We had a very useful and informative discussion exploring how the work of the base can further contribute to fostering community cohesion, which is a key priority the West Yorkshire’s Police and Crime Plan.
“The Student Base provides opportunities for students to get together, build connections and friendships, and provide peer support among themselves.
“This can build inclusiveness and empathy amongst students, fostering a sense of community both within and outside college.”
