Cameron’s aide takes seat in Lords

A former Downing Street aide given a peerage in David Cameron’s controvers­ial resignatio­n honours list has taken her seat in the Lords.

Laura Wyld served as the head of the Prime Minister’s appointmen­ts unit from 201316. The 39-year-old Tory peer studied at Cambridge and has previously worked as a researcher.
