Cameron’s aide takes seat in Lords

A former Downing Street aide given a peerage in David Cameron’s controversial resignation honours list has taken her seat in the Lords.

Laura Wyld served as the head of the Prime Minister’s appointments unit from 201316. The 39-year-old Tory peer studied at Cambridge and has previously worked as a researcher.
