Tickets for Good to back Attitude is Everything charity
SHEFFIELD-BASED TICKETING hub firm Tickets for Good has announced its latest partnership with charity, Attitude is Everything.
The partnership rounds off a successful first six months for the not-for-profit start-up, which was inspired by Grant Thornton’s #VibrantSheffield initiative and will see it provide funds for the charity which supports the deaf and people with disabilities to gain access to live music, through ticket sales on its website.
Tickets for Good is the latest social enterprise from Sheffieldborn entrepreneur Steve Rimmer. It came about following collaborative discussions Steve took part in at Grant Thornton’s Live Lab events, held in May 2016.
The 31-year-old founded the hugely successful Creative Arts Development Space Trust (CADS).
Mr Rimmer said: “I strongly believe that we can support positive social change and do something good through business, and this belief sits at the heart of everything that I try to do with my own companies.
“The impetus behind establishing Tickets for Good was born from the conversations I had at the Grant Thornton Live Lab event held in May. During the day, I had the opportunity to connect and collaborate with lots of inspirational people from across the public, private and community sectors in Sheffield and come up with a huge range of ideas that we believed would be forces for good.”
Paul Houghton, managing partner, Grant Thornton Sheffield, said: “Grant Thornton firmly believes that collaboration generates the ideas and actions which shape a vibrant economy.
“As a firm we are encouraging and driving forward an ambitious future for the Sheffield City Region.
“We’re delighted that Tickets for Good is making a difference to the community after last year’s Live Lab event, and it’s fantastic to see such ideas come to life and generate visible results for the city.”
