Digital advice offers chance to boost exports

YORKSHIRE BUSINESSES are being encouraged to fulfil their exporting potential by signing up for a series of digital skills workshops with Google.

In partnershi­p with the Department for Internatio­nal Trade (DIT), small and medium sized enterprise­s can apply to attend a ‘Google Digital Garage’ course in Sheffield.

The aims is to help develop their web knowledge, grow their online business and increase export opportunit­ies.

Businesses across the region are invited to take part in these digital master classes.

They will receive face-to-face digital skills training from Google experts and e-commerce coaching.

By increase digital skills the DIT hopes to encourage business growth across Yorkshire.

Participan­ts will also discover new ways to reach customers online with help from DIT Internatio­nal Trade and e-Commerce Advisers, who will also be on hand to offer expert advice on how to export. The workshops will also teach people how to maximise social media for business use and how understand Google Analytics tools to track the impact of you activities online.
