Warning of threat to postal service

INDUSTRY: The six-day universal postal service and employment conditions of workers are under threat because of the “disastrous” privatisation of Royal Mail, union leaders have warned.

The TUC Congress in Brighton said taxpayers were “ripped off” by the sale as delegates offered support to the Communication Workers Union, which is balloting workers for strikes over pensions.
