Bus workers vote for strike action
INDUSTRY: Hundreds of bus workers have voted to take strike action in a dispute over pay. Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union at Stagecoach South West backed walkouts by almost 4-1.
The union said its members were angry that the company has tabled a pay and conditions package that does not keep pace with RPI inflation, with today’s higher inflation rate of 3.9 per cent.
