Man, 71, held after girl, 12, assaulted

Police were yesterday investigating an alleged sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl.

The attack was said to have happened in a park on Dorchester Road in the Bransholme area of Hull at 4pm on Monday. A 71-year-old man has been arrested.

A spokesman for Humberside Police said the force was aware that a video and images of a suspect were in circulation and warned that sharing them could affect any future legal proceedings.
