Murray Harcourt beefs up its tax advice team with recruitmen­t drive

YORKSHIRE TAX adviser Neil Sengupta and four of his colleagues have left Grant Thornton to join the rapidly growing tax practice at independen­t business advisory firm Murray Harcourt.

Mr Sengupta has been at Grant Thornton’s local tax practice for 10 years.

With more than 25 years’ experience of providing tax advice to a wide range of clients, from large, listed corporates to owner-managed businesses, Murray Harcourt said Mr Sengupta has specialist experience of M&A transactio­n tax and has been involved in a number of high-profile regional deals.

Mr Sengupta has been joined at Murray Harcourt by former Grant Thornton tax colleagues tax director Joanne Powell, senior tax manager Emily Bartliff, tax manager Adam Gough and senior tax manager Mike Crawley.

Establishe­d in 2012 by partners Richard Bright and Mark Hunter, Murray Harcourt has grown rapidly over the past five years.
