LOOKING FOR A NEW LOCATION FOR YOUR BUSINESS?
Business hub supporting local business and local community
An historic Otley mill is being given a new lease of life and is spreading its reach into the wider community.
Since new landlords took ownership of Wharfebank Mills (formerly Wharfebank Business Centre), in December 2016, they have made massive investments into regenerating the site. In the first year alone they have committed almost £500,000 towards improvements that will bring this historic textile mill back to life.
And the profile of the site is changing daily due to the demolition of old buildings on site that are no longer fit for purpose.
Plans for further improvements include shower blocks, communal break-out areas, an on-site meeting room for external hire and bike storage.
Wharfebank Mills is becoming a thriving business hub once more. Multiple deals have been signed with new tenants in the past quarter, with a rise in local interest as companies seek out premises that don’t involve a lengthy commute into the cities.
The mill complex fits the bill as it also provides high-speed internet connectivity, with upload and download speeds of 100mbps. This is better than in some of the urban business centres.
Free car parking; easy access to Leeds, Bradford and Harrogate by bus, road and rail; and flexible lease terms are proving an attractive draw.
Not to mention the quiet, peaceful and picturesque location. Getting a good work-life balance can be difficult in today’s world but at Wharfebank Mills there is a calmness that is almost tangible.
It is a hidden gem.
However, on Wednesday November 15, to mark the completion of many of the improvements on site, Wharfebank Mills is opening its doors to local businesses to promote the estate and the offices available to let.
A lunchtime reception will bring together local business and community leaders, representatives from the local authority and businesses within a 15-mile radius of Otley.
“At Wharfebank Mills we provide a supportive and collaborative environment, where we encourage tenants to work together,” said Mike.
“Staff can easily travel to Otley using public transport and there is ample parking at Wharfebank Mills for tenants and visitors who choose to travel by car.”
“We want our tenants to stay with us for years to come,” Mike said. “Which is why we have made every effort to introduce a vibrant business community on site.”
