£1m of gems are ‘stolen on train’
THEFT: A jewellery dealer’s suitcase containing gems worth £1m was stolen from him on a train in London.
British Transport Police are investigating the theft from the man last Wednesday.
The dealer boarded the 7.03pm service at Euston to Birmingham New Street.
He put his case of 40 gems including diamonds on a luggage rack, but when the train arrived at Rugby it was missing.
