Witnesses sought to motorway collision

Police yesterday appealed for witnesses after a crash on the M62 which closed the eastbound carriageway for several hours.

A silver Audi A4 hit a barrier near to the hard shoulder between junctions 24 and 25 at about 7pm on Saturday. A 26-year-old woman was seriously injured and two other vehicles were damaged as a result.
