Yorkshire dancer tours UK with Russian Ballet

A YORKSHIRE dancer is touring with the Russian State Ballet after becoming the third British female to graduate from the famous Bolshoi Ballet Academy.

Tala Lee-Turton, who took up ballet in Barnsley at the age of 14, finished her training in 2016.

She is now one of a select group of British dancers to go from student to professional in Russia.

Tala will perform in a production of Swan Lake at Scarborough Spa’s Grand Hall on December 5.

The tour also includes performances of The Nutcracker and

Romeo and Juliet at Harrogate’s Royal Hall on December 6 and 7.
