Charity move for city beauty spot

A beauty spot could be registered as a charity if approved by councillors.

Sheffield City Council’s cabinet meets on Wednesday to discuss whether High Hazels Park in Darnall should be registered as a charity. Papers for the meeting state the move would “uphold public trust and confidence in the council by extending the protection afforded by charities legislation and ensuring transparency in the council’s future management of the park”.
