Robber forced way into man’s house

A robber forced his way into a house and pushed a 74-year-old man to the floor before stealing his watch.

Police yesterday appealed for information about the robbery, which happened in Lorna Road, Mexborough, at about 5.10pm on Tuesday.

The robber, who made off towards Kirby Street, was described as a large, white man, about 6ft, with no front teeth. He wore a dark hooded top.
